They had clearly sailed from warmer climates as many had far darker skin than either the vikings or the picts. The other fleet arrived the day after on sturdier ships, they arrived on the beach and immediately began surveying the land. They were driven from their home by a great fire and were eager to find a new forest home. They called themselves Picts and they worships strange alien gods. Once ashore they were met by the citizens of New Skaargard. Their boats were rickety and no where near as sturdy as the viking ships. The fleet of vessels were manned by a race of people painted head to toe in blue, screaming at the tide and desperate to get off the water. But as the ships drew closer, their design was alien to the vikings.
Initially the people cheered, hoping it was people left behind or lost during their escape of Old Skargaard. However, as the people of New Skaargard were building their homes, two sets of ships were seen on the horizon. Slowly and with great effort, some of their ships were broken down to build a dock, houses, a wall and Longhall for their capital "New Skaargard".
However, the people were beaten, tired and weak after such a long voyage. This new land was fertile and the beasts were not as fearsome. The vikings cheered and feasted on what little supplies were left and sailed toward the shore. Shortly after, land was spotted on the horizon.
